The transformation process
Conversion requires technical planning, but the end result justifies the investment. The work was divided into three simple steps:
Disassembly and Removal: The old insertable equipment was carefully removed to preserve the structural safety of the chimney.
Chimney Adaptation: Installation of a new concentric and insulated pipe, suitable for the exhaust of pellet gases, which requires a smaller diameter (usually 80mm).
Finishing and Assembly: Closing and insulating the old fireplace niche with fireproof plasterboard, creating a smooth and modern background to house the new freestanding stove.
